Referent Creations is a subset of Registered Creations that are available for reuse
Licenses are mandatory for Reuses, therefore the Creator/Rights Holder must set a license for a Creation when making it a Referent.
Making a Referent (Licensable) Post or Page
A Creation can become Referent Creation from two areas of the UI:
- CLink Panel of the Gutenberg editor
- CLink > Creations > Registered menu
From the CLink Panel
- In the License section chose Right Type under Programmatic subheading.
- Click Set license button after the option is chosen from the drop-down menu.
View and accept the “Pre-Authorized incensing of Referent Creations” and “Pre-Authorized application of E-Signature to License”. Needs to be accepted for each creation, thereafter the licenses will be generated, and electronic signatures will be placed automatically when reuse of the creation is requested.
When the license set the first time the Creator/Rights Holder is prompted to view and accept the license. The prompt will reappear only when the license is revised in the future updates of the plugin.
From CLink > Creations > Registered menu
- Mouse over under the title of the Registered Creation to be made referent and click on Make Referent.
- Select the programmatic right categories you wish to apply in response to the first pop-up.
- View and accept the “Pre-Authorized incensing of Referent Creations” and “Pre-Authorized application of E-Signature to License” as sown and described in step 3 of the previous subsection.
"Reuse this content" button will appear at the published post and at the corresponding registry object. When these buttons are clicked on the Reuse is initiated.
Making a Referent (Licensable) Media
The Media license to be initiated from the License widget of the media and the procedure is similar as described above for post/pages The programmatic right categories are shown below.
"Get a license" button will appear on the corresponding registry object. When these buttons are clicked on the Reuse is initiated.
After making the Creation Referent and before the first link is formed for Reuse, the Referent status can be removed through the CLink > Creations > Referent menu. Mouse over under the title of the Registered Creation to remove its referent status and click on Remove Referent.
Like books, CD's or movies are not editable after they published or released Referent Creation becomes uneditable once a licensee accepts the license offer and forms a link to it.
Google Image Search and IPTC Support

The plugin supports the announced Google BETA for Licensable images (JPEG) based on IPTC metadata. In addition, it supports Read/Write/Sync of the IIM/XMP layers of selected IPTC and PLUS properties, when the image gets registered, made licensable, and gets licensed.
The Licensor URL and the Web Statement of Rights are hyperlinked to the corresponding URI object resolution of the displayed identifiers. Party entity object for Licensor URL and Right Entity object for Web Statement of Rights.
Recorded Metadata in JPEG Images

Properties with plus namespace-prefix in the IPTC Extension (XMP) column are PLUS version 1.2. properties included in the IPTC schema.
